Hosted by Phil Endliss

If you enjoy giving your Jag the opportunity to let loose on twisty, windy, scenic roads and dining on delicious BBQ……. you’ll want to join us on Saturday, November 2nd for our repeat drive through the scenic back roads of the East Bay. The two-and-a-half-hour tour will start in Castro Valley and loop through some truly scenic vistas until we arrive at our destination in Pleasant Hill at the BACK FORTY BBQ.  Several rest/regrouping stops will be made along the way.

We will meet at 9:30AM in the Castro Valley Community Center parking lot at 18988 Lake Chabot Rd in Castro Valley, with a planned departure of 10:00AM.  Make sure that you have enough coffee or tea before we set off as there are not many coffee shops on our route.

Our tour will take us through the Oakland Hills alongside Chabot Regional Park with spectacular views (weather permitting) of the San Francisco Bay from Skyline Blvd, and Grizzly Peak Blvd.  This drive was a Jaguar favorite, so we had to do it again!  Full turn by turn directions will be sent out ahead of the drive date.

Our tour will end at the Back Forty BBQ in Pleasant Hill where we’ll pig out on Texas BBQ.  The meal will include Caesar salad, fruit, potato salad, baked beans, ribs, chicken, brisket, dessert and tea or lemonade.  We will have a reserved space for 40 guests, so sign up now to be sure you get a spot.  Cost is $45.00 per person for members ($50.00 after October 28, 2019) and $50.00/$55.00 per person for guests(non-JCNA members).

We hope to see you there in your favorite Jaguar with a full tank of gas and the top down in all open top cars for a great drive around an area that we don’t get to visit very often.
