2018 promises to be a great season leading up to the JCNA International Jaguar Festival in Santa Barbara in November.  To ensure that our cherished cats are ready for the season and are prepared to win their just awards, JAG Member Steve Paski of Deep Reflections will be hosting a 2 hour talk and workshop on detailing at Deep Reflections premises at 10:30am, January 20th.

Tech Talk

Steve will cover:

  • Getting a car buffed – what should the end result be.
  • Polishes/Waxes – Carnubas versus man made
  • Ceramic coatings – What are they?

After Steve’s Tech Talk we will drive through Los Gatos to the famous “The Cats” restaurant just off Highway 17 where we enjoy a private lunch and we can discuss the plans for 2018.  For those attendees whose partner would prefer to shop while the Tech Talk is in progress, downtown Los Gatos offers many choices for shopping and browsing.  If you simply want to join us for lunch at The Cats please do so at 1pm.


The Cats

Just south of Los Gatos, near The Cats Restaurant, are two large concrete cats standing near the entrance to a gated driveway.  “Leo” and “Leona” were created by sculptor Robert Paine and have guarded the entrance to an area known as Poet’s Canyon since 1922. Immediately south of the Poet’s Canyon’s entrance is the Cats Restaurant and Tavern.  Originally a stop on the old stage line, the Cats Roadhouse served as a weigh station for the horse-drawn lumber wagons on their way to San Jose, as well as a rowdy social club for area residents. At the time the road was first paved, around 1920, the Cats was one of the area’s most notorious speakeasies and bordellos. During the 40′s and 50′s The Cats building housed a realty office, gun shop and sporting goods store. The restaurant and tavern were re-established in 1967 and it is one of the last remaining Roadhouses in the United States.


Our Meal Choices will have a Barbeque theme of \ Chicken or Beef.  Please indicate your choice below.  The cost will be $35 for members and $40 for non-members.
