JAG Visit and Lunch at The Candy Store

One of the more popular events of 2016 was the JAG visit to the Mozart Foundation Museum. Also the JAG member survey confirmed the popularity of visits such as this with you.  So ----

----- on Saturday, April 8th, we have scheduled a JAG visit to The Candy Store for a tour of the great vehicles living there followed by an informal buffet lunch.  Our new JAG Board member, Ron Laurie Store will host this event. Ron is a founding member of the Candy Store.

As you may know, The Candy Store is a private auto enthusiast club housed in a restored 1928 Packard dealership in downtown Burlingame.  Since 1983 the building has been home to the internationally known collection of classic, touring, sports and racing cars.  The cars span the era from the early 1900’s to the 1970’s.
Ron's Hagemann race car and XK120 FHC are among the cars on display at the Candy Store.

In the recent rains, nature tried to halt our event when a huge Eucalyptus tree toppled and missed The Candy Store by inches. Fortunately, no persons and no cars were injured so our event is full speed ahead.

 


 



Entry is limited, so be sure to mark your calendar and make your reservation as you don’t want to miss this event.


The doors will open at 11:30 a.m.  The price for event is $50 for members and $55 for non-member guests.  The price includes Candy Store entry and a catered sandwich, buffet lunch and desert table.
